Since 1991, Polly Ann’s has been the go-to spot for treasure hunters, storytellers, and anyone who just can’t resist the charm of “old but gold.” Our 3,500-square-foot shop in historic Mount Vernon, Iowa, is a treasure trove of mount vernon antiques, filled with pieces that carry stories from days gone by, just waiting to find their next home (maybe yours?).

You’ll also catch us on the road, popping up at six to eight shows a year to spread even more vintage goodness. Inside Polly's antiques shop, you’ll discover everything from quirky trinkets and timeless collectibles to (yes) actual kitchen sinks and an ever-changing lineup of refurbished vintage furniture, mostly brought back to life by our own hands.

Meet Polly Ann and Bob

Since 1991, Polly Ann’s has been the go-to spot for treasure hunters, storytellers, and anyone who can’t resist the charm of “old but gold.” This beloved destination in the heart of historic Mount Vernon, Iowa, started as a shared vision between Polly Ann and Bob and has since become a highlight among Mount Vernon antiques and mt vernon antique shops.

Together, they built Polly Ann’s from the ground up—blending creativity, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the stories behind every piece. Polly Ann has an eye for possibility, seeing beyond the worn edges and faded finishes to dream up new life for forgotten treasures. Bob brings those ideas to reality, carefully repurposing and renovating each piece with skill, patience, and a whole lot of heart. It’s a partnership at Polly's antiques that turns imagination into something you can take home.

Custom Made Furniture

Bob builds custom harvest tables, kitchen islands, cupboards, vintage farm sink bases, mantles, and more, with inspiration often drawn from the unique finds at Mt Vernon antique shops. Most pieces start from the bones of a vintage piece of goodness that needs some help to find its full potential, much like the treasures you might discover at Polly Ann's or Polly's antiques!
